Once you arrive on Phuket it is a very simple matter to purchase SIM cards, the streets are full of phone shops and 7/11 stores, you may get a free one at the airport. Top ups can also be done either with a card purchase or online machines in the franchise stores such as 7/11 and Family Mart. If you need to get your phone unlocked this is again a simple task, many of the stores at the bottom floor of Big C will do it for you for a nominal amount.
